Exciting news from Supfina Grieshaber in Wolfach: As of January 1, 2025, Florian Berger, an experienced manager, and long-standing member of the company, will take over as Managing Director. He succeeds Christoph Siegel, who will assume new responsibilities within the Grieshaber corporate group at VEGA in Schiltach, a global leader in process measurement technology.

Superfinishing, often referred to as short-stroke honing, is a high-precision machining process that is specifically designed to significantly improve the quality of workpiece surfaces. This process is particularly important for bearing surfaces, where special cross grinding and a high contact ratio are essential to ensure low friction and a long component service life.

Traffic gives rise to high levels of particulate emissions – especially in the cities. Too high, in the opinion of the EU Commission, which is pushing for significant reductions by introducing the Euro 7 emissions standard. Particulate emissions are caused primarily by abrasion in tires and brakes.
