Cemented carbide

Cemented carbide is a material consisting of fine carbide particles and a binder metal. The advantages of cemented carbide include its high hardness and low wear rate. Cemented carbides are often used as cutting tool material for example in indexable inserts. Since they are particularly temperature-resistant which allows for with higher cutting speeds.
