Throughfeed Superfinishing
|
Superior workpiece quality in regards to load bearing capacity, efficiency, smoothness of running, operational safety, and, last but not least, longevity, requires superior surface finishing of these workpieces. By logical extension, this means continuous adaptation and optimization of existing production processes.

In many instances, throughfeed finishing is an economical process for cylindrical workpieces. For these types of components, Supfina offers proven Superfinishing machine concepts, which can easily be integrated into your production processes. They are economical and give your workpieces the "final touch".
This makes the Superfinishing process, which is typically the last and therefore the quality-determining process, ever more important.
Throughfeed Superfinishing allows the targeted influencing of the following parameters:
- Reduction of surface peak-to-valleys and increase of material contact area to over 90%, due to the plateau-like surface structures
- Improvement of roundness, creation of microgeometries with particular applications, (e.g., cylindrical ball shape or full ball shape of cylindrical or tapered rolls, respectively)
- Optimization of tribological properties through criss-crossing finishing marks.

Designed for the throughfeed finishing of cylindrical workpieces of up to 200mm in diameter, depending on the feed cylinder system. Flexible application possibilities for all workpieces of rotational symmetry, such as bearings, rocker shafts, and axial pistons. |

Designed for the throughfeed or centerless plunge finishing of cylindrical workpieces with diameters of 2 to 70mm, depending on the feed cylinder system.Flexible application possibilities for all workpieces with rotational symmetry, such as needles, axles, and bearings. |
